Build-to-spec

Build-to-spec, at wholesale volume.

Standard grading doesn't have to be the end of the line. We can adjust memory, storage, operating system and imaging to match your market's requirements, at wholesale volume.

Technician configuring a refurbished laptop to order

Configured to your market, not a generic spec.

A grade and a spec sheet aren't always the same thing. If your buyers expect a specific RAM ceiling, OS image or asset tag, we build to that before it ships, rather than leaving it for you to sort out on arrival. It's the difference between reselling a "graded B laptop" and reselling exactly the unit your client asked for, with no extra handling on your end once it lands.

Configured units ready for wholesale export

From spec sheet to shipment.

Once a build is confirmed, it follows the same testing and grading standard as every other unit — configuration doesn't skip a step, it just adds one, before export-ready packaging and documentation for freight, whether it's a sample pallet or a full container.

What we can build

Six ways to match a unit to your market.

Specify any combination of these when you request inventory — none of them require a separate order, a different process, or a longer wait than a standard graded unit.

Memory & storage upgrades

RAM and SSD/HDD swaps to match the exact specification your buyers expect on arrival.

Operating system imaging

Fresh OS installs and licensing options configured and fully tested before shipment.

Asset tagging & labeling

Custom asset tags, labels or packaging inserts applied consistently for your brand or resale channel.

Cosmetic refinishing

An additional cosmetic pass is available for units destined for retail-facing resale shelves.

Mixed-lot builds

Combine models and specs within a single order to hit a specific target price point or client brief.

Why customize

Match the unit to your market.

A standard grade is a good starting point, not always the finish line — these are the reasons wholesale buyers ask for a custom build instead of taking stock as-is.

Better margins

Configure to the exact spec your market is willing to pay more for.

Consistent lots

Uniform specification across a full order, unit after unit.

Compliant imaging

Licensed OS options configured where your market requires them.

Simple process

Specify requirements when you request inventory.

Who asks for a custom build

Built for buyers with a specific spec in mind.

Custom configuration tends to come up for one of three practical reasons — matching a downstream requirement, preparing units for retail, or standardizing a large internal deployment across many employees.

Resellers & integrators

Need every unit in a lot to match a target RAM, storage or OS spec before it ever reaches their own customers or clients downstream.

Retail-facing resale channels

Want an extra cosmetic pass and branded asset tagging on units that will sit directly on a retail shelf.

Corporate bulk buyers

Need a standard OS image and asset tags applied consistently across a large internal employee deployment.

How a build gets made

From request to ready-to-ship.

Configuration is an extra stage layered onto our standard five-stage process, not a separate one — a build still passes through data wiping, testing, grading and export packaging like any other order, on the same timeline.

01 · SPEC

You tell us the build

Models, memory, storage, OS imaging and any tagging or labeling requirements you need.

02 · CONFIRM

We confirm feasibility

Availability, lead time and pricing confirmed in writing before any work begins.

03 · BUILD

Units are configured

Upgrades, imaging and tagging applied consistently to every single unit in the order.

04 · SHIP

Tested, graded, packed

Same testing and grading standard as always, then export-ready packaging worldwide.

Also part of our process

Configuration is one stage of five.

Every configured unit still follows the same data security, testing, grading and export standard as any other order we handle — configuration adds a step to the process, it never replaces one.

Configuration FAQs

Questions about custom builds.

What can actually be customized?

Memory and storage upgrades, operating system imaging, asset tagging and labeling, an additional cosmetic pass, and mixed-lot builds combining models within one order.

Does custom configuration cost extra?

Specify your requirements when you request inventory and we'll confirm feasibility, lead time and pricing for the configuration you need.

Can you combine different models in one configured order?

Yes. Mixed-lot builds let you combine models and specs within a single order to meet a target price point or client requirement.

Is this available on every product category?

Yes. Custom configuration is available on laptops, desktops and workstations alike.

Can you install a licensed operating system?

Yes. Fresh OS installs and licensing options can be configured before shipment where required.

How long does a custom build take?

It depends on the scope of the build and order size — share your requirements and we'll confirm a lead time before you commit.

What's the minimum order for a custom build?

The same as our standard orders — from a single sample pallet up to full container loads.

Does data wiping still happen if a unit is configured?

Yes, always. Every drive is wiped and verified before configuration begins — see Data Wiping & Security.

Can configured units still be shipped internationally?

Yes. Configuration doesn't change how a unit is packed or documented — see Bulk Supply & Delivery for export details.

Can I request a sample unit built to spec first?

Yes. A single sample can be configured and shipped ahead of a full order, so you can confirm it matches what you need.

Can you match the exact model already used across my fleet?

We'll do our best to match model and spec to what you already run, subject to what's currently available from our Canadian and US sourcing.

Do configured units still carry the same cosmetic grade?

Yes, unless you request the additional cosmetic refinishing pass — grading reflects physical condition, independent of any internal configuration work.

Can different units in the same order get different builds?

Yes. Mixed-lot builds can apply different specs to different portions of the same order, as long as each is clearly specified up front.

Who do I talk to about a large or recurring configuration order?

Get in touch directly — you deal with the same team managing sourcing, testing and export, not a call center.

Can workstations get GPU upgrades as part of a build?

Yes — see Workstations for details on GPU, RAM and storage configuration for technical builds.

Do you charge a setup fee for a first-time custom order?

Pricing depends on the specific build — share your requirements and we'll quote it clearly before any work begins, with no hidden steps.

Can laptops get a custom OS image with pre-installed software?

Yes — see Laptops for the models available, then specify your imaging requirements when you request stock.
