Data security guaranteed

Every drive, securely wiped and independently verified.

Every device that passes through 3A Solutions is securely sanitized and independently verified before it is graded, configured or resold — protecting the previous owner and giving wholesale buyers full confidence in every pallet that ships.

Why certified wiping matters.

Every laptop, desktop and workstation we handle previously belonged to a business, which means it may still hold sensitive company data when it arrives. Wiping isn't an optional add-on — it's the first thing that happens to every unit, before testing, grading or configuration ever begins, protecting the previous owner and removing any liability for the buyer reselling it downstream.

Verified before it ever ships.

A wipe that isn't verified is just a claim. Every drive is checked after sanitization, and a unit does not move on to hardware testing or grading until that verification is confirmed complete — nothing is taken on trust.

The standard

What every wipe includes.

These aren't optional extras — every single device follows the same six-point standard below, regardless of order size, product category or destination market, before it's ever offered for sale to a wholesale buyer.

Certified wiping standards

Multi-pass data erasure aligned with recognized industry sanitization standards, applied to every single hard drive and SSD we process.

Verified, not assumed

Each drive is independently verified after wiping — a unit does not move on to grading until sanitization is fully confirmed complete.

Physical destruction option

Drives that fail sanitization or verification are physically destroyed rather than risk being resold with data intact.

Chain of custody

Equipment is tracked from intake through wiping, grading and shipment, unit by unit, at every single stage.

Documentation on request

Wholesale buyers can request sanitization confirmation for their orders, at no extra step.

Applies to every product

The same standard is applied across laptops, desktops and workstations, without exception, regardless of grade or order size.

Who this matters to

Built for buyers who need proof, not promises.

Data security isn't an abstract concern for the buyers we work with — it's a practical requirement they have to satisfy for their own customers, partners or internal policy, on every single order.

Compliance-conscious buyers

Resellers who need documented sanitization confirmation to satisfy their own customers, auditors or internal compliance policy before an order can close.

ITAD partners

IT asset disposition companies that need a trusted, verified sanitization partner for the units they route through to resale channels.

Export-market distributors

Buyers shipping internationally who need confidence that every unit arrives clean, tested and fully accounted for, with no surprises at customs or with their own customers.

How it fits the process

Wiping happens before anything else.

Data sanitization is the second stage of our five-stage refurbishment process, right after intake and before anything else — no unit proceeds to hardware testing until its drive is wiped and independently verified.

01 · INTAKE

Assessment

Incoming units are logged, sorted by model and checked against the manifest before anything else happens.

02 · SECURITY

Data sanitization

Certified multi-pass wiping and independent verification, applied to every single drive we process.

03 · TESTING

Hardware checks

Full diagnostics are run only once data is confirmed cleared and verified.

Data security FAQs

Questions about wiping and compliance.

What data wiping standard do you use?

Every drive is sanitized using multi-pass data erasure aligned with recognized industry sanitization standards, applied to every hard drive and SSD before a unit is graded.

How do you verify the wipe actually worked?

Each drive is verified after wiping. A unit does not move to grading until sanitization is confirmed complete — nothing is assumed.

What happens to drives that fail sanitization?

Drives that fail sanitization or verification are physically destroyed rather than resold.

Can I get documentation confirming sanitization?

Yes. Wholesale buyers can request sanitization confirmation for their orders.

Does this apply to every product category?

Yes. The same wiping and verification standard is applied across laptops, desktops and workstations, regardless of order size.

When does wiping happen in the refurbishment process?

Data sanitization happens immediately after intake, before hardware testing and grading — no unit proceeds further until its drive is wiped and verified.

What if a drive is physically damaged and can't be wiped?

It's treated the same as a drive that fails sanitization or verification — physically destroyed rather than resold, so it never re-enters circulation with data intact.

Do you wipe SSDs the same way as hard drives?

Every hard drive and SSD we process is sanitized and verified, using the multi-pass erasure method appropriate to that drive type.

Is data wiping included for every order, or an optional extra?

It's a standard part of our five-stage process for every unit we handle — not an optional add-on — regardless of order size or destination market.

Can I request wiping without a full wholesale order?

Get in touch with details of what you need, and we'll confirm whether it fits within our standard wholesale process.

Does wiping affect how the unit is graded afterward?

No. Wiping is a data-security step, not a cosmetic one — grading happens separately, based on physical condition, once the drive is confirmed clean.

Is this the same standard used across your other services?

Yes. Data wiping is stage two of the same documented five-stage process behind Refurbishing & Quality Checks, applied consistently regardless of which category or service you're using.

Does the sanitization standard change by destination country?

No. Every drive gets the same multi-pass erasure and verification before it ships, whether it's headed to a buyer in Canada or across our export markets in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Pakistan or India.

Who actually performs the wiping — you, or a third party?

Wiping and verification happen in-house as part of our own documented process, not outsourced to a separate vendor — so the same team handling intake also handles sanitization.

What if I receive a unit and find data still on it?

That should never happen given our verification step, but if it ever does, contact us immediately and we'll investigate it as a priority.
