The 3A standard

Reliable equipment. Clearly graded.

Every unit follows the same documented five-stage process — hardware testing, secure data wiping and consistent cosmetic grading — so wholesale buyers always know exactly what they're getting before it ships.

Why grading has to be consistent.

A grade is only useful if it means the same thing every time. We use one documented A/B/C standard across every category, so a Grade B laptop and a Grade B desktop reflect the same level of cosmetic wear — not a judgment call that varies by whoever inspected it that day. That consistency is what lets a wholesale buyer order sight unseen and trust the description, order after order.

Graded IT equipment ready for wholesale export

Tested before it's ever offered for sale.

Nothing reaches available stock without passing hardware diagnostics first. A unit that fails testing doesn't get a lower grade and a discount — it doesn't get resold as working hardware at all. Grading only ever happens after functionality is already confirmed, never as a substitute for it.

Three-point process

The short version.

Every unit we supply — laptop, desktop or workstation — moves through the same three checkpoints below before it's ever offered for sale to a wholesale buyer, regardless of order size.

01

Test

Full hardware checks, battery health assessment and BIOS verification on every single unit, no exceptions.

02

Grade

Secure certified data wiping, followed by consistent cosmetic grading and a quality control sign-off.

03

Supply

Clear quantities, flexible order volumes and export-ready handling to any destination market worldwide.

In full detail

The five-stage refurbishment journey.

Every laptop, desktop and workstation moves through these five stages in order, regardless of order size or destination market.

01 · INTAKE

Assessment

Incoming fleets are logged, sorted by model and checked against the manifest before anything else.

03 · TESTING

Hardware checks

Full diagnostics, battery health and BIOS verification on every single unit.

04 · GRADING

Quality control

Cosmetic grading and functional sign-off against our documented wholesale standard.

Cosmetic grading

What Grade A, B and C mean.

Grading is cosmetic, not functional — every unit passes the same hardware testing regardless of grade, so a lower grade simply means more visible signs of prior use, never a compromise in reliability.

Grade A — Excellent

Minimal signs of use, with no visible scratches or dents beyond light wear visible only on close inspection. Fully functional with no cosmetic compromises — our closest match to new condition.

Grade B — Good

Light to moderate cosmetic wear — small scuffs, minor scratches or faint keyboard shine from regular business use. Fully tested and functional, priced accordingly.

Grade C — Fair

Visible cosmetic wear consistent with regular business use — scratches, scuffs or minor case marks that don't affect performance. Fully functional and our most budget-friendly grade.

Why 3A Solutions?

What backs the standard.

Consistent grading is only possible with consistent sourcing and a supply chain we control end to end, from intake through to the container that ships.

Why it matters

Built for buyers who need a standard, not a guess.

A documented, repeatable grading standard is what lets wholesale buyers order sight unseen with confidence, on the first order as much as the fiftieth.

Resellers & integrators

Order sight unseen and know exactly what cosmetic condition a Grade B unit will arrive in, every single time.

ITAD partners

Need a documented, repeatable standard they can point to when a client asks how equipment was assessed.

Export-market distributors

Need confidence that a whole shipping container was graded consistently, not unit by unit at random by different people.

Grading FAQs

Questions about testing and grading.

What does the five-stage refurbishment process include?

Intake and assessment, certified data sanitization, full hardware testing, cosmetic grading and quality control, then export packaging — in that order, on every single unit.

What do Grade A, B and C mean?

Grade A shows minimal signs of use, Grade B light to moderate cosmetic wear, and Grade C visible wear consistent with regular business use — all fully tested and functional regardless of grade.

What hardware checks are performed?

Full diagnostics, battery health assessment and BIOS verification on every unit before it's graded and offered for sale.

Does grading affect functionality?

No. Grading reflects cosmetic condition only — every unit passes the same functional testing regardless of what grade it ends up with.

Is this standard the same across every product category?

Yes. The same five-stage process applies to laptops, desktops and workstations alike, regardless of order size.

Can I request documentation showing a unit's grade?

Yes. Wholesale buyers can request grading and testing confirmation for their orders.

Who performs the testing and grading?

Testing and grading happen in-house as part of our own documented process, by the same team managing sourcing and export.

What happens to a unit that fails testing?

It doesn't move on to grading or resale as working hardware — components may be recovered, but the unit itself isn't offered to wholesale buyers.

Can I get grading criteria explained before I place an order?

Yes — ask before you order and we'll walk through exactly what each grade means for the category you're interested in.

Can I order a mix of grades in one shipment?

Yes. Most wholesale orders combine grades to hit a target price point — tell us the mix you need when you request stock.

Does the grading standard change for export orders?

No. Every unit is graded the same way regardless of destination, whether it's shipping locally or to one of our export markets in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Pakistan or India.

How is this different from buying refurbished from a marketplace?

Every unit follows one documented standard we control end to end, rather than a mix of individual sellers each applying their own judgment.

Do you offer a sample before a full container order?

Yes, a single sample pallet can be arranged before you commit to a full container load, so you can verify grading and condition firsthand.

Are workstations tested any differently than laptops?

The five-stage process is the same, but hardware checks are tailored to the category — see Workstations for CPU, GPU and cooling-specific diagnostics.

Can I request a custom configuration on a specific grade?

Yes — see Custom Configuration for memory, storage and OS options available on any grade.

How do I request the current graded stock list?

Use the form below, or the "Request current stock" button above — tell us the category, grade mix and quantity and we'll respond with availability.

Questions about our grading?

We're happy to explain grading criteria for any product category, quantity or destination market, before you commit to an order.
